Blog Assignment 4

When i first began to think about how i would start my student teaching i would create a safe environment where I encourage students to ask questions and give their views on the material we are covering. To achieve a classroom of true student learning I will implement strategies which create a collaborative and safe atmosphere and encourage the application of knowledge to new situations.
Independent study is not a poor way to learn but overdoing independent study is non beneficial. I would first sit kids in rows of two. I would pair the children up with a boy next to a girl and make a buddy system. When i assign classwork, the students will work on it with their buddy. I would rotate buddies every two weeks or so so that the students interact with every student in the class. I would also encourage student to always ask questions but as the teacher stop and take questions from the students.
When using technology, i would try to use what is available to me and that is beneficial to the students. In the process i would try to show the teacher some new technology that can be used.

Blog Assignment 3

As a teacher in the 21st century classroom it is our responsibility to be constantly open to be technology and trends as we continue to educate. As teachers we are constantly learning just like students.
George Warren is
Hewlett-Packard's marketing director of k-12 education in North America. He is quoted by saying, " That's what the industry now has to focus on -- which is hard, because countervailing forces are at work. For that reason, we talk a lot about the tablet PC. When it comes to new things that are happening, nothing is more exciting than the tablet PC. It's a wholly new platform -- the first truly mobile device we've seen in the market."

Technology is improving all the time and staying up with trends and innovations is very important. The tablet PC's are just one innovative piece of technology that will impact education in the next decade. "When you look at a teacher managing an entire roomful of devices, it's an exciting new development that's getting wings," Warren says.
PC's are only one new piece of technology but teachers need to be looking for new technology and ways to incorporate it into the classroom. There are many websites teachers can visit to feel that they are being updating technically.

Blog Assignment 2

The first challenge a teacher stands with integrating technology is the amount of technology use that is accessible to the teacher. The teacher must also know how to use the technology that is in the classroom available to the teachers and students. If teachers fail in either learning the technology or education has failed to teach our instructors to use the technology available in the classroom then the education system has failed The technology in the classroom is designed to teach more efficiently and easier. Technology Is important to learn and to apply in the classroom because every day we are living in a more technical world where technology is necessary for every efficient use. It is important for teachers to instill 21st century technology in our students daily life and using it efficiently and assertively will only mean technology will benefit our life.We overcome these challenges of technology by challenging ourselves. We as educators must always challenge how we teach and in this new world of technology, incorporate technology skills that will be beneficial to the student. Educators must constantly be attending technology seminars and being alert to new technology that is available to them.
